Gioia DiMare
Director of Pharmacy
Gioia DiMare is a dedicated clinical pharmacist with over a decade of experience in both retail and clinical settings. After graduating with honors from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 2013, she began her career as the pharmacy manager of Walgreens in Swampscott, MA.
Gioia then transitioned to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, where she served as the pharmacy manager of the Beverly location, focusing on patient safety and effective medication management.
In June 2024, Gioia joined United Family Medicine Center in Newburyport, MA, as a full-time clinical pharmacist. In her role, she works closely with patients to navigate the often-complicated insurance approval process for medications, breaking it down in a clear and approachable way so they can actively participate in their healthcare decisions. Gioia was also hired for her expertise in managing chronic disease states, including diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia.
Outside of work, Gioia enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter, and their two cats.
